### Square-1 Scramble and Algorithm Notation

For official WCA scrambles hold the Square-1 with YELLOW on top and RED front.

• (Top, Bottom)
• Number only = Clockwise turn
• MINUS prefix = Anti-clockwise turn
• (1 to 5) = How far to turn (Edge = 1 unit and Corner = 2 units)
• SLASH = 180 Right rotation

### 2x2 Scramble and Algorithm Notation

For official scrambles hold the 2 x 2 with WHITE top and GREEN front.

Cube Notation is letters and letter character combinations to describe specific turns on a 2x2 cube, also called a pocket cube. The purpose of notation is to easily describe an algorithm or a scramble.

### Skewb Scramble and Algorithm Notation

For official WCA scrambles hold the Skewb with White on top, Green on the Left and Red on the right.  This means the White/Green/Red corner is facing you and will stay in front for the entire scramble.
